It’s nearly time for General Conference again! This is one of my favorite weekends every 6 months. This Fantasy Conference printable is a great way to get the whole family involved in some Conference fun. And as a bonus, it keeps everyone attentive and motivated to listen.
A couple of years ago, my daughter brought home a Fantasy Conference worksheet from her Seminary class. So fun, but a little longer and more complicated than what my younger kids could keep up with. I’ve always aimed for providing activities that don’t just keep the kids busy, but help them actively listen to the speakers. This activity was perfect, but I wanted to come up with something a little simpler that could fit all on one page, and here it is! I’m sharing so that your family can use it, too.
How to Play Fantasy Conference
This game is really simple. Everyone fills in their guesses and then during conference focuses on the sessions to see if they guessed right. We use the center insert from the most recent Conference issue of the Ensign. It has photos of all the General officers to choose from. You can also find that here. Right guesses gain points and at the end of Conference everyone totals up their points to see who the winner is.
I love to take notes during General Conference. I love writing down the impressions the Spirit speaks to me as I listen. And while we each tend to individually take our own notes (using a notebook, or a note-taking packet) this Fantasy Conference is a fun – and quiet – way for us to also do something together as a family.
President Nelson has promised this Conference will be an amazing one. So, grab this fun printable and print one out for each family member. Then, get a note-taking packet ready and get settle in for an amazing experience!
