It’s time to get ready for spring General Conference! Does anyone else feel like the last Conference was just a few days ago?

I want to help you get ready to have some fun and – most importantly – to LISTEN as you watch Conference.

When we really listen to what’s being said at Conference, with a desire to apply the principles to our lives, we can feel prompted to recognize areas in our lives we might need to make changes and can feel prompted about what actions we can take to make those changes.

I created this simple LISTEN UP! activity to help YOU and your family to listen during Conference.

Listen Up!

In this busy world, we’re constantly bombarded with noise on all sides. General Conference provides the opportunity to take some time out to quietly listen.

This simple activity encourages listening – and the whole family can be involved!

To use this Listen Up! activity, all you need is a pen and some colored markers (if you choose.)

– Print out a Listen Up! sheet for each family member.

– Before each session, each person writes some words they think they might hear during that session. Then, they come to Conference and LISTEN!

– If they hear one of the words on their sheet, they get to circle it! You could use a different color for each speaker for some extra fun. See how many times a word gets circled, and by how many different speakers.

– After Conference, you could get the family together and see if you heard the some of the same things. Then, discuss a little about what you heard and how you can apply these things to your own life.

So, let’s pause amidst all the noise of life and LISTEN UP!
