I am Grateful For… Coloring Pages
I’m a huge supporter of “living in gratitude daily.” I believe when we focus on the blessings we have – especially the small little things that bring us joy each day – we are more positive and feel more joy and gladness in our lives. This means we are more able to fulfill our life’s purposes. While I encourage and support keeping a gratitude journal all year long, I love finding different ways for our family to “keep track” of blessings at Thanksgiving time.
Here’s a cute printable I created that you could use this Thanksgiving to list out all those blessings. There’s a version that’s already colored, or there’s a coloring sheet that’s perfect for the kids. Grab some crayons and get creative!
You could post a single list in a common area and each family member can add their grateful thoughts each day. Or the kids can color their own, fill out all their blessings and you could post them all on the wall side by side. You could also choose post one in each person’s bedroom and have them fill it out there as the month goes on.
These are also perfect for Thanksgiving dinner. Here’s some fun ways they could be used with a group
- Put one at each person’s place and have them race to fill it out. See who can fill their list the quickest, or with the most unique things.
- Play a Scattergories type game. Have everyone fill out their list and then go around and share what is on it. If someone else has the same item, you have to cross it off. This really gets your creativity going on some unique things to be grateful for.
- Have someone start the list and pass it to the next person. Keep it going around the table until it’s full or for a set time. Or better yet, if you have more than one table, have a race to see which table can get theirs filled up the fastest!
- Start with the letter A, then go all the way through the alphabet trying to name something you’re grateful for with each letter.
I hope as we enter this Thanksgiving season that you can more fully notice and appreciate life’s the little daily joys.
