Getting To Know You – The Dice Game

This free printable getting to know you game is a great way to get to know each other. Use it with your family, friends or a school or church group. 

Over 60 creative getting to know you questions are included with the game. You simply need 2 dice and the included print out and you’re on your way to learning more about each other. 

These questions are a great way to get reluctant kids to open up and share their thoughts and feelings. 

Game Preparation:

All you need to play this game is 2 dice and the print out of questions and color cards. Print the game pages and cut out the color dice cards.

To Play:

1. Assign each person a color dice card. Give them one of the cards, which they place face up and then lay out the other color dice cards in the center, face down.
2. The starting person rolls the dice to see which question they will ask.
3. They can either ADD the dice, MULTIPLY the dice, or use BOTH NUMBERS, in either order.

• For example, if you roll a 3 and a 5 you could choose:
  • 8 (numbers added together)
  • 15 (numbers multiplied)
  • 35 OR 53 (numbers mixed up in either order)
• They must choose the number BEFORE looking at the questions.

4. Once the number is chosen, they select one of the color cards at random. Whoever has that color dice card is the person they will ask the question to.
5. The other player answers the question, then the color card is returned to the table and the cards are mixed around before the next round.

Alternate ways to play:

• See how well you know each other – When a question is asked, the person asking the question has to guess what they think the other person will answer, before it is answered.
• Everyone answers – Skip the color cards and simply roll the dice, then have everyone answer the question.
