Are you feeling a little anxiety at starting Come, Follow Me this year? I am!
Studying the Old Testament has always been a little on the overwhelming side to me. But, I love the way that the Come, Follow Me manual breaks things down so I’m also looking forward to it this year.
Whether you’re anxious or looking forward to it (or both like me!) It’s always nice to have some help in this home-centered gospel learning thing.
For the Family
Old Testament Reading Schedule Bookmark
Ever forget what the weeks Come, Follow Me reading assignment is? You will always be on top of it when you keep one of these cute bookmarks tucked into your scriptures.
Since you can choose from 9 different designs, there’s something for everyone in the family. These are 4×6 size and are easy to print at home or at your favorite printer. (And they’re free!)
These cute bookmark schedules also match my study journals, which you can find below!
Weekly Scripture Display Kit from Come Follow Me Co
I love these gorgeous scripture card kits! These beautifully designed scripture cards come in a drawstring bag and have a scripture for each week of the year. The 52 – 4×6 sized cards fit into the little wooden base to remind you of the week’s Come, Follow Me lesson. I love the modern colors that Come Follow Me Co has created these in – they’re perfect to display anywhere around your home!
Scripture Glue-Ins from Felix and Felicity
I have a fascination with mini things. And these little Old Testament scripture glue-ins just make me smile. These measure 2×2 and are so cute to add to your scriptures. If Old Testament is a struggle for you, then you need these! They are the perfect way to brighten up your scriptures and bring you a little more motivation to study!
Family Bulletin Board
This home-centered family bulletin board will help you and your family stay on top of Come, Follow Me AND the Chidlren and Youth program. I designed this so that it’s super simple – no changing out a bunch of things each week! Simply update the weeks scripture reading each week, and the other things as you feel like it.
Come, Follow Me Dinner Jar
Looking for a simple and quick way to incorporate Come, Follow Me into your family’s busy day? The Dinner Jar is just the thing! Each week includes a set of strips to stick into the jar, then choose one out to discuss each day. The prompts provided will lead to some great dinner time (or any time!) discussions.
These are available as a download to print yourself, or order just the strips (provide your own jar) or you can choose to order the complete kit ready to go. We used this last year for Doctrine and Covenants and I loved the discussions that got started around our dinner table!
Youth and Adults
Old Testament – Come, Follow Me Study Journal by My Upside-down Umbrella
Do you need help in studying your scriptures, rather than just reading them? This Old Testament Study Journal will help you record your insights, and most importantly – it guides you in taking action on what you’ve learned.
The study guide follows the Come, Follow Me schedule, with a 2-page layout each week. You can record people and places you read about, truths about Christ and the gospel, and inspiring notes. Then – there’s a full page to record your inspirations, ponder on how you can apply your reading to your life, and set a goal to work on for the week so you can learn AND do.
